Ever stood on the surreal edge of a breathtaking view and suddenly awakened to the idea you were standing in the reality of someone’s post card? This is Moab, UT. This is Cloudrock. Last week we spent five amazing days on location capturing landscape, lifestyle and adventure sports photography to tell this one-of-a-kind story. With the help of Amos Morgan ,we set out on a photoshoot adventure that would leave a seriously lasting impression.
A team of stylists, two teams of model/actor talent, a photo assistant, mountain bikes, kayaks, hiking gear, horses, outdoor patio furniture, some home depot supplies, two determined set builders, an RV, and a couple of SUVs later…..we had a crew. The days were ruled by light and an ambitious shot list. We were up well before dawn and shooting by sunrise, racing to catch each shot timed for specific daylight hours. Sixteen hours of shooting a day took its toll on everyone, but spirits ran higher with every captured image. Late nights were filled with photo editing and plans for the next day’s adventure. We gleefully stretched the physical limits of the talent and crew with hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, rock climbing and kayaking, but the end result was well worth the effort — for the client and the team.
