Lets cut to the chase–
Where would we be without our skinny, silver, friend the Xacto. Remember the days of old before we realized what an Xacto was…you would get your scissors out and hope to God that the task at hand wasn't cutting out a porcupine. And even if it was a porcupine it would look more like an armadillo by the time you were done with it–you would have to put the paper really close to the blades of your scissors–right by the handle–and then do the wrist "pivot-swivel" with the delicacy of a ballerina. Your hands would sweating so intensely and your grip would be so fierce that by the time you were done, the paper you were holding would be all warped and wrinkled. Your finished product would end up looking like a crumpled, creased note that 6th graders would pass through the halls of middle school.
This appreciation of the Xacto has built over years of cutouts, trimming and paper snowflakes but it has come to a head as an intern at UI. When you're an intern, the Xacto is your only friend. Now I must go finish my intern task of making paper cutouts of Bikram script.
Thank you Xacto for your precision and beauty. You're exactly what I need.
