Working in a city means you don’t get to see all the beautiful sites our planet has to offer – though we tend to be pretty lucky living in the Pacific Northwest. There are tons of beautiful images out there of our world, but there are very few times they actually stop me dead in my tracks.
The photography of Andrew Zuckerman did just that. His absolutely breath-taking collection of aviary imagery blew me away – I couldn’t help but look through the entire site when I first saw. He has a vast catalogue of tons of different species, from starlings to owls and everything in between. All of it is presented on pure white, with nothing to take away from the birds. While most of its beauty resides in the work itself, the presentation has gone a long way to; the site is bare bones, with stunning cropping of the creatures which add to the energy and beauty of the shots.
We see a lot of what’s going on in the design world every day, but sometimes the biggest inspiration comes from something unrelated from our digital world. There is also a published version, which I’m dying to pick up – you should too, or at least check the site out!
