Our afternoon got a little sweeter last Wednesday when our client and friends at Mary’s Place delivered us a 30-pound homemade peach cobbler (yes, we weighed it) and a candy written (literally) thank you card!
Maintaining close relationships with our clients is a staple of our company culture here at Urban Influence. We take great pride in immersing ourselves into understanding what makes our clients’ brand tick, and then effectively executing that emotional connection through our work. It is especially humbling to be able to contribute our talents and donations toward nonprofits like Mary’s Place, a day center for homeless women and their children in Seattle.
Since launching the new Mary’s Place website a few weeks ago, we had the privilege to attend their annual Spring Benefit Luncheon earlier this month. The house was packed with supporters, staff and, most importantly, the homeless women and children of Mary’s Place. Each year the benefit celebrates the work of Mary’s Place through musical contributions, poetry readings, and candid storytelling by the women of Mary’s Place. Hearing each woman’s story of homelessness offered a powerful uncensored look into the positive impact Mary’s Place has on the lives of all the women they’re working to empower.
We were honored to be among the crowd sharing in the success of Mary’s Place. During the benefit, our Managing Director, Jordan Denmark, and members of our team publically unveiled the new Mary’s Place website, and discussed how the new site embodies their core mission: to empower and equip women with the tools to move out of homelessness.
Check out a few pics from the luncheon below, and if you just so happen to be craving peach cobbler, we still have plenty of leftovers.
