Written by UI-Staff

Alright, admins, this one’s for you. If you want more secrets to take your Facebooking to the next level, make note of the following tricks just for admins.

1.    Change who you’re posting as

This is by far the most commonly missed feature by admins. By default, if you’re an admin, all posts, comments, and “likes” will be from your Page’s name. (Even if you’re liking your own Page’s post.) Facebook recently made it much easier to change control of who you’re posting as. Just click your name at the top, and you’ll be posting, commenting, and “liking” from your personal profile, not your Page.

Once you switch over control, Facebook will save these changes. Don’t forget to switch back over to your Page.

2.    Change your Vanity URL

As soon as you set up your Facebook Page, chances are you raced to secure your vanity URL. Facebook warned that this URL would be stuck with your Page forever… until now.

Admins can now change their Page’s Vanity URL one-time only. To do this, go to the top of your Page by the Admin Panel and click Edit Page > Update Info > Basic Information > Change Username. Remember, you can only do this once, so make it count!

3.    Get The Big Picture

Your Page’s cover photo is gold. Make sure you get every last pixel exactly where it needs to be with this Facebook cheat sheet from Dreamgrow.

4.    Insights Are Your Best Friend

If you haven’t played around on Facebook Insights yet, drop what you’re doing and head over there right now. Not only is this a free tool, but the information provided gives an in-depth look into your fan base demographic, most popular posts, reach, amount of people engaged, and more.

Hidden within Insights is another metric that measures “Negative Feedback”: people who hid your post or gave it negative feedback in their news feed. To see this number, click on Insights. For each post, there is a column for Engaged Users. Click that number and a pie chart pops up along with the amount of negative feedback. If you don’t see any Negative Feedback, congrats, your post was popular!

5.    Schedule Facebook Posts

Headed out for the weekend? Now admins can schedule posts straight from Facebook! Just click the clock icon in the status window before you post. You can manage your scheduled posts via the “Activity Log” under the Page Admin Panel.
