I’m digging these wingtips designed by Dominic Wilcox. With these magic shoes you can literally find your way home, using a combination of GPS and LED technology.

Click your heels (ala The Wizard of Oz, a huge inspiration behind the idea) to power up a pair of shoes that track you, after they’re synced with a computer (just don’t set them on the table, please).

The lights on the front of the shoe are a minimalistic surprise and add a great sense of understated design to the classic wingtip. I also love that red leather on the inside, a clear nod to Dorothy’s ruby red shoes, and the illustration depicting a journey home.

An interesting idea for sure and I appreciate his thought of taking the tools we surround ourselves with daily and making it something special.
