Oh boy, oh boy! We’ve got a new face for you to meet.
Anna Mroczkowski is the person who knows how everything gets done behind the scenes. As our founder’s executive assistant, Anna is one of the most important new members of our team, and so we are excited to let her introduce herself to you now!
Where are you from?
I’m a Seattle native, though one of my favorite back-handed compliments I get is that I don’t act like a Seattle native.
Where have you worked in the past?
Where haven’t I worked…
I have a fashion and costume design background and had a lot fun in my 20s decorating beautiful people in LA, New York, and Seattle before settling into stable family-friendly business roles. I’ve worked in the wholesale fishing, renewable energy, natural medicine, and cannabis industries, in public accounting and criminal defense. The fun stuff is my volunteer work in the art community. I’m heavily involved in events and not-for-profit youth art programs in Seattle.
What do you love most about being an executive’s assistant?
That it’s never the same workday twice. Like live theatre.
What’s your favorite food?
Tacos are the food I can always eat, but I can’t pick a favorite.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
Catch up on sleep and hanging out with my awesome kids and painting (in that order).
Favorite vacation you ever took and why?
Disneyland with my daughter in 2011. She had been saving coins for months to finance her own dream vacation to Disneyland with a real entrepreneurial spirit around the neighborhood. She had about $28. Not bad 🙂 but it was more fun to wake her up at 4am on her 8th birthday with an itinerary. It was just the two of us and a total adventure. She had no idea about the surprise. It was great.
If you could have a superpower what would it be?
I can only answer this question if things like cancer, AIDS, murdering unarmed black Americans and posting it on the Internet, and climate change are gross realities of the past. Assuming the world is in a peaceful sustainable place, time travel would be cool if I was the only one who got a power. If I wasn’t the only one granted superpowers, I’d want the power of mimicry. 🙂
